Clip
Clip is a lounge chair designed for both outdoor and indoor spaces. The form of Clip takes inspiration from a paper clip, giving the chair a light and playful appearance. The clip-shaped steel frame flexes in response to the weight of the user, improving sitting comfort. A curved metal rod at the seat forms a loop that can hold small items. The chair is made of steel through bending, welding, sandblasting and powder coating. The use of a single material keeps production simple and supports recycling.
Clip Lounge Chair by Meiqing Tian was recognized as a grand example of industrial design by the A' Design Awards. Clip Lounge Chair earned the Bronze A' Design Award in Furniture Design in 2023. The A' Furniture Design Award is a highly prestigious, international, juried design competition which recognizes superior design of chairs, tables, sofas, beds, cabinets, shelves, desks, wardrobes and more.
