Galaxy
Galaxy is a modular furniture system designed for home interiors. The series includes a television cabinet, a sideboard, a bookcase, a cupboard and a cloakroom unit. Traditional arched forms are flattened and simplified, joining a classical character with a modern outline. The cabinet bodies are finished with environmentally friendly powder spraying, and the full-height glass doors are carved in three dimensions to add texture. A saturated green tone is used throughout. Storage modules can be combined to suit the changing needs of a household.
Galaxy System Furniture by Wang Lu has been recognized as an exceptional representation of industrial design by the A' Design Award. Galaxy System Furniture won the Bronze A' Design Award in Furniture Design in 2023. The A' Furniture Design Award is an international, meritocratic, just and fair design accolade which honors excellent design of chairs, tables, sofas, beds, cabinets, shelves, desks, wardrobes and more.
