Max
The search for a complexity synthesized in a few lines was the main inspiration for Max Chair. With clean design and precise lines, this piece is a response to a structural challenge with a combination of materials. The light and slender fiberglass shell rests over four metallic support joints, while locked at the base (with axes that cross each other in an X shape), with Sucupira wood covering the feet. Its seat and backrest are part of the same volume, covered in natural Solana leather, with many studies on ergonomy to find a proper curvature and compact visuals.
Max Chair by Arthur Casas was highlighted as an innovative example of industrial design by the A' Design Award. Max Chair won the Bronze A' Design Award in Furniture Design in 2022. The A' Furniture Design Award is a highly prestigious, international, juried design award that celebrates outstanding design of chairs, tables, sofas, beds, cabinets, shelves, desks, wardrobes and more.
