Mint
Mint is a sideboard designed for contemporary living spaces. The form combines a rectangle with triangles to create a structured surface where different items can be placed. The appearance of the sideboard changes according to the angle of view, which gives the piece a sense of fluidity and visual texture. Mint is intended to act as the leading element of a room, so that other furniture can follow its structure. The design draws on natural forms and joins an earthy character with a contemporary and abstract expression.
Mint Side Board by Yacob Sughair was featured as a grand illustration of industrial design by the A' Design Award. Mint Side Board was awarded the Iron A' Design Award in Furniture Design in 2022. The A' Furniture Design Award is a juried, academic and highly prestigious design prize that recognizes excellent design of chairs, tables, sofas, beds, cabinets, shelves, desks, wardrobes and more.
