Brazilian Modernism and Tropicalismo in a geometric body. With straight lines and congruous construction, Modello 09 holds a suspension design that creates an illusionary loop connecting seat, legs, back and arms in a distinctive manner. Built in solid Burmese hardwood teak, brass and cane webbing, the manufacturing process uniquely embraces marks and bruises as badges of honor of natural materials.
Modello 09 Chair by Cassiano Saldanha was selected as a grand illustration of industrial design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Modello 09 Chair received the Silver A' Design Award in Furniture Design in 2022. The A' Furniture Design Award is a highly prestigious international design accolade which recognizes excellent design of chairs, tables, sofas, beds, cabinets, shelves, desks, wardrobes and more.
