Mode
Mode is a modular workstation designed for home offices. Mode has three modules: a table, a seat and a kneeling module. In compact form, the furniture works as a side table beside a bed or sofa. The seat is pulled out from under the table, while the kneeling module unlocks with a button and becomes a rocking seat. The tabletop can be removed and used elsewhere. The structure is made of rectangular carbon steel tubes, and the seat base, kneeling module and tabletop are made of molded plywood. The design follows Brazilian ergonomic standards and encourages healthier posture habits at home.
Mode Modular Workstation by Gustavo Alves Miranda was identified as a creative illustration of industrial design by the A' Design Awards. Mode Modular Workstation earned the Iron A' Design Award in Furniture Design in 2021. The A' Furniture Design Award is an international, juried, academic and meritocratic design accolade that celebrates exceptional design of chairs, tables, sofas, beds, cabinets, shelves, desks, wardrobes and more.
