The Bridge Sideboard

The Bridge

The Bridge is a sideboard designed for use in homes and offices. The cabinet is made of 30 mm thick solid reclaimed jarrah, taken from roof beams of demolished houses in Perth, Western Australia. The cabinet is suspended by white acrylic solid surface legs, which also pass through the piece and form part of the top. Recessed handles and bevelled drawer edges create a minimalist look. The drawers run on soft close, full extension runners, and traditional butt hinges allow the doors to open 160 degrees. A clear polyurethane finish protects both materials.

The Bridge Sideboard by Dave Nesbit was highlighted as a grand example of industrial design by the A' Design Awards. The Bridge Sideboard earned the Iron A' Design Award in Furniture Design in 2021. The A' Furniture Design Award is a juried, academic and highly prestigious design accolade which celebrates excellent design of chairs, tables, sofas, beds, cabinets, shelves, desks, wardrobes and more.
